Celebration of the James

Well, we’ve just got back in from Canary Wharf. Being that James blog is between six to twelve month behind the present day I feel that it falls to me to document this occasion in timely manner. I am writing this in the still inebriated state upon the completion of this day.

How it began

Well sadly like many a day of the so called “working week”, the noble James had to be in attendance at the offices to which he was assigned. During this period he is assigned to the offices of BP in Canary Wharf. I am under the impression that these offices are entangled with the more financial side of BP’s exploits. James as you might perhaps know is employed by SQS and endeavours to provide suitable and quality software testing to the funded masses.

How it unfurled

Fortunately the so called “work day” completed its devilish spectrum at approximately six PM british summer time and a mere fifteen minutes later the exploits began. It all started by the collection of three souls. Those souls were comprised of James himself, Geoff his flatmate and Amy his cohort from the early SQS days.

Upon the collection of these souls a feast of peri-peri chicken was enjoyed at the house of Nandos where James secretly covered the tab for the main course. With the main course devoured the pudding was consumed, while seemingly small this course was fulfilling. Furthermore James was beaten to the tab by another.

It was decided by the collected two that James earlier trickery with the main tab must be punished with alcohol, and so it was that the party proceeded to the haunt of the Slug and Lettuce. It was in this scene that a variety of beverages were consumed along with a side helping of “chit-chat”, the combination was most enjoyable.

After many hours and numerous rounds of intoxicating beverages had passed the bar staff passed by the kind message of “closing in five minutes”. These four words served to mark a point in the events which could not be undone. It was time for the conclusion to echo forth.

The conclusion of the night

Having been pushed forth from the fount of Slug and Lettuce the souls went their separate ways. Having said farewell to Amy and wished her a safe return to her abode the remain two travellers likewise returned to their abode with ever swelling bladders. Once back to the safety of their shelter they located their respective resting places and turned to slumber.

May none of the gathered souls awaken with a hangover from the beverages consumed the previous night.
