N95 Earpiece
My N95 earpiece is fixed now :D
On New Years I’d had some problems calling people which I’d attributed to the appalling quality of the UK cell networks, especially under high load. It seems it was not wholly to blame as calling people subsequently had also been very very difficult with it either being crackly or too quiet to hear. Finally on Friday or Saturday it just went completely. No sound emanated fourth from my phone unless using the loudspeaker or headphones. Very annoying.
More annoying of course when you’re trying to guide a friend through the nightmare which is London Weekend Tube maintenance and that persons maiden DLR voyage. Sorry about that James.
I notified Chris on the Monday and he had a word with Orange, its a company phone, and he let me know that there was a Nokia Care Centre in Stratford, where I work, that should be able to fix it. So today I dropped my phone into the care centre before arriving at work. About an hour ago, half past one, I dropped back in to collect it.
<DrumRoll> Aaaanndd…… Its fixed! </DrumRoll>
It now seems almost joyous when it makes a beeping noise and calls are very clear. At least I know what to do if it goes wrong again.
